* FOR THE REST OF THE SEMESTER.... Bring to class with you EACH DAY the following items: your handbook (MHH), copies of all your sources, any research notes or other materials, your laptop, and a current draft of your research paper.
Due on FRIDAY 8/5:
1. Bring to class your copy of the example research essay on Juveniles Tried as Adults (on the Unit 2 - Writing Using Research page) 2. Formal outline of research paper is due--here is an example outline: example of a formal outline_RESEARCH PAPER.docx 3. Choose 2 passages (2-6 sentences) from one or two of your sources that you definitely want to use in your research paper and bring to class your copies of the sources with the passages in them. We will be using these passages to practice paraphrasing in class tomorrow, so please choose wisely--you want to choose passages that you really want to include in your paper.
Due on THURSDAY 8/4:
